Piece Quilting Class

I'm taking a quilting class with my sister in law Ginny. We are having a great time so I thought I would post 4 blocks that I've made so far.

Rail Fence

Bright Hopes

Monkey Wrench

Road to the White House

Here are the blocks all together in the same order as above. I'm excited to see what it's going to look like when it's all finished.

Happy Presidents Day

So, Jake and I had a 3 day weekend b/c of presidents day. Friday we had to go to the sweethearts dance that the stake put on b/c Jake and I are now Activities Chair and Co chair in our ward. The dance ended up being a lot of fun. I would like to think I have some cordnation to dance but I would really hate to watch myself on camera. But Jake and I danced and had a great time. Jake was patient with me and my ability to take over and lead, which is funny b/c I don't dance and I want to lead. hehehe I guess I like to be in control. :)
Let me give you some background on this one. Jake gets extra credit for watching LOST so we started watching it last week and now were hooked. We got home from the dance on Friday about 9:45pm we got ready for bed then stayed up until 2am watching lost. Stupid show!
Saturday: Ran a 5k in Bountiful, I was pretty happy on the pace I had. Jake, hasn't been running since the new car came but he stuck with me.
I got to watch my neices Marissa, Madelyn it was a lot of fun to spend time with them. Thanks Kathy for thinking of me to babysit.
So, lets just say that after the girls went home we wasted our time watching LOST.
Sunday: Went to church and a meeting then went to Grandma Hall's bday party. We came home from the party to watch some more LOST.
Monday: We cleaned out our fridge b/c it's been leaking water inside. We've defrosted it and it hasn't leaked. Happy day. Jake helped a friend build a computer and I did laundry, and cleaned other stuff around the house. It was a very productive day but then again after the last 3 days anything I would have done would have been productive.

Newest Family Member of the Family

I'm sure the tile has gotten your attention now but don't get your hope up just yet. Jake, has a electric car and it's legal to drive on the streets. Jake is happy as a little boy in a candy store he has a few cars that he wants and this one is on the list so he can finally check one off. Way to go Jake you have very understanding wife. :)

I'll give you as much infomation I have on the car.

Name: Betty (The car was names by Jake I had no part of it, I personal don't care for the name)

Year: 1981 (Yes, it is older than Jake)

No, it doesn't have good round tires.

No, it is not running just yet. We've had it for two weeks now and Jake has put in about two hours every weekday night (while I'm at work I mention this b/c I would be telling him that he has to do his homework) and he has got some of the electric stuff together like the head lights, tires moving, the horn works sometimes and I'm sure there is more but I did tell you in the beginning I would only tell you what I know.

Ok, I know your all so excited to finally see what Betty looks like so her she is:

Proud guy right here.

Can you see his muscle riping through his shirt. I'm a lucky girl.

Memories

For my friends birthday Marie, Mykel and Bev we had a party for all three of them and we did something that we've done when we were roommates in Logan. This was one of the funest nights we've had in our "old" age. We went down memory lane so Heidi can also say she's done some of the crazy things we did. :)
Thanks for the good time ladies and I know we have more where this came from and I'm looking forward to making those memories.

Getting ready to down some rootbeer. :)

This is the girls drinking the rootbeer trust me we've never been normal. Hehehe You'll see this is true in the next pictures.

Running barefoot in the snow. :)

You'll have to guess who the silhouettes are but again we're showing how it doesn't take much to entertain us.

Hill Climbing

Snowmobile Adventure

Growing up I rode a snowmobile in some fields around my house but Saturday Jake took me to ride in the mountains in Monte Crystal. It was very pretty but riding on a machine that was made for one person was a beauty of it's own. We have a snowmobile that is 30 years old and it has not shocks on it so I felt every bump there was and I felt it the next day.
There was Jake and I and Phil and Nicki that all went snowmobiling.

2 years baby

My first blog start taking bets now on how long this will last put your votes in the comment area.
Yesterday, Jake and I celebrated our 2 year anniversity and we kept with the tradition of being sick this year it was me being the sick one. I'm going to work on breaking this tradition for next year. We celebrated the last week when Jake and I didn't have work or school. Jake still surprised me with bright beautiful flowers and lunch at work.
